The Warscrolls for Age of Sigmar are out, and..........well see for yourself
I will add more as i find them, behold the new Age of Pisstaking!!!
I found 2 more, the "Look your opponent in the eye for bonuses" is getting into the realm of broken.
And now for a rule about......spelling
...What?
ReplyDeleteThats basically been the reaction so far
DeleteI'm gonna have an army of Greatswords. Gonna win hands-down on that mustache rule for most of the time !
ReplyDeleteIf any of this is even remotely true we are now entering the Age of Sirgmar-charades
ReplyDeleteOh trust me its all true, every sad and mad bit of it.
DeletePeople on Dakka already have auto win lists
These are direct from the GW website. They are very much true.
DeleteI think I'll just stick to playing 3rd ed.
DeleteHonestly loving this. Absolutely all of it. Some people need to loosen up and realize it's a game, and besides you could still do these things without the antics, but then you really have to ask yourself: "Why so serious?"
ReplyDeleteOh, and check the Masque of Slaanesh. She's got a fun rule, and I already have an ace up my sleeve called: "The Macarena."
Because this used to be a serious game with competitive rules that made sense. How long do you think it will take for people talking to models, grunting and snorting, shouting WAAAAGHHH and prancing around to the place riding imaginary horse to get ol. I bet that after the first few games of it all that nonsense will get old.
DeleteTell us how much fun you are having after 10 games. I can guarantee you will start to ignore most of these "rules" and their novelty will wear off fast. Enjoy trying to teach this game to new people who have no idea why you are talking to a model expecting it to talk back then having to explain it's a rule you may take part in to get bonuses.
DeleteA stegadon fighting 10 goblins gets bonuses for being outnumbered. I mean that alone should tell you how good these rules are going to be.
But yes by all means give it try, who knows, it may be fun for more than a few battles.
Warhammer's is serious business you guys.
DeleteWho says that? Where its written? Warhammer is what the person playing it wants it to be in terms of seriousness
DeleteAlso have some empathy, WHFB players have just been told that they wont be getting a new edition of their game and what replaces it will be nothing like what they have enjoyed for the playing for however long they have been playing.
DeleteOn top of that they now have to contend with silly rules about grunting and talking to models.
Basically have some empathy with us WHFB players, we are allowed to pissed off at all this nonsense
There's serious, there's lighthearted, there's silly, and then there's this, which is just plain childish.
Deleteyou know what, now that i have read the rules set and some of the warscrolls properly i really like it! do you know what totally sold me on it....
ReplyDeletethere is an entry for Rugluds armoured orcs in the greenskins scrolls. GO MAGGOT!!!
Its not that the Warscrolls are all bad, there are some good ideas there that could have worked really well with a 9th or 8th ed army. Its mainly the game rules itself and the silly "Talk to the Model" rules that ruin it for me, and that we got this instead of 9th
DeleteI'm looking forward to seeing a certain Mr Wu grow a moustache, take singing lessons, bring a bullhorn to club....
DeleteHappily I havent found anything too untoward in regards to Nurgle yet... *if your opponent is wearing deodorant all your models die* ha.
Seriously tho... talking to models is only aimed at ONE market...
You missed Kairos Fateweaver:
ReplyDelete"When you make a casting or unbinding roll for Kairos
Fateweaver, add 2 to the result of the roll if, just before rolling the dice, you can
correctly spell the spell’s name backwards, aloud, without hesitating or looking it up. "
Thank you, its been added to the list
DeleteSo when people use Kairos are they actually excepted to do that or are they just given the bonus automatically?
found a couple more in warriors of chaos sigvald and slannesh lord on daemon mount sigvald has a rule for rerolls when holding a mirror and the lord forces you to say "your about to be seduced" or words to that affect (awkward rule if I have ever heard one) I suppose these rules are fun for friendlies
ReplyDeleteSo, wait...Konrad, Kairos, and all are dead. Killed off in the End Times.
ReplyDeleteHow are they back?
Ignoring that Munchkin is more mature and fun - snarky child friendly meta-game - and that this lacks the early metal-camp...this makes not only the events beforehand meaningless, but the End Times itself potentially meaningless...
